Farsi Translation Services

Trusted by leading brands to provide professional Farsi Translation Services, better languages translates between English and Farsi for use in a wide variety of settings. Like Arabic, and many Indian languages, Farsi is written from right to left, and corrupts in standard versions of design programmes such as Illustrator and InDesign, it needs to be specially typeset using the Middle Eastern version of the required design programme.

If you need a Farsi website, many of the principles are similar to our requirements when we developed an Arabic version of our own website. You have to consider many localisation issues, including position of images, appropriateness of images, suitability of page layout as Farsi readers scan a page right to left, selection of an appropriate colour pallet and of course, localising the content into Farsi.

Farsi translation specialisms include Farsi website translation and localisation, Farsi document translation, including translating technical documents, Farsi retail translation services, translation of official documents, product user guides, technical manuals, and datasheets. Specialist areas of work include Farsi Interpreting and Farsi voiceovers, and Farsi subtitling.

Professional Farsi Translation Services

Farsi is the official language of Iran, and is sometimes referred to as Persian. There are approximately 110 million Farsi speakers worldwide, with the language also having official status in Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, in addition to Iran.

Potential issues with Farsi translations

Written Farsi has a beautiful cursive style, but almost all major design programmes  will corrupt the script and not render it properly. The result is that letters get inverted and broken up. It isn’t that the text doesn’t look very good (which it doesn’t), it gets rendered totally illegible. The solution is that it needs to be correctly set using the Middle Eastern version of the required programme, and depending on the software, it is then likely to need to be supplied as an outlined EPS file, to prevent it corrupting again when dropped into the standard version of the programme.

We can solve this by typesetting the script for you using the Middle Eastern version of the required program and then providing it in an EPS format so that it does not get corrupted. We can do this for most major programs including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Quark. Just send us an email or call us to discuss your requirements and we will be able to assist.

Proofing Your Farsi Translation

Better Languages also offer a Farsi artwork proofing service for finished artwork before it goes to print. Your artwork will be checked by our specialist Farsi translators who will work hard to make sure the Farsi on your artwork displays correctly, which means you can be at ease knowing your final printed artwork will be to the highest standard. There is an extra charge for this service but we really believe there is no substitute for a translator checking the final version of the artwork.
