Mike Hunter MBA DMS BA (Econ.)
Mike joined the business in 2000, and has a senior management background in the UK and Spain. He understands the translation needs of companies and individuals to enable effective international communication. Mike has worked as a language trainer and tutor. He did an MBA at Nottingham Trent University, including specialisms in quality assurance, public management, and a consultancy project for the Cayman Islands Red Cross. Interests outside of work include chess, model railways and supporting Notts County.
Translation Services Director:
Beatriz Hunter MCIL
Bea is a qualified and experienced Spanish linguist, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. She started the business in 1993, working initially in partnership with the previous owner, and eventually taking over the business. Although most of her work is translation management these days she still does some translation and interpreting. Her translation specialisms include medical texts for clinical trials management systems, and label and packaging translation. She also provides simultaneous translation and interpreting for business, social services and the legal system. When she’s not translating her interests include cookery and gardening.
Translation Manager:
Nicole Betts
Nicole joined the team in January 2010, and has a background in translation management as well as having worked as a freelance translator since the mid 1990s. She project manages translation assignments, co-ordinating with clients and the translation team. Nicole holds a post graduate level qualification in translation from the University of Salford.
Finance Manager:
Andy Moxon BSc
Andy joined the team in April 2009, and brings a wealth of experience in the financial services sector, and has previously worked as a senior manager for British Telecom. He has overall responsibility for financial management including purchasing and sales invoicing. He brings a love of cricket, and a dry sense of humour to better languages, both of which are usually appreciated! We won’t mention his support of Aston Villa.
