EMDA “Survive and Thrive” seminar
December 10th, 2008 - News
betterlanguages.com attended an interesting seminar in Leicester yesterday, organised by the East Midlands Development Agency it was full of practical advice for companies doing business in the current economic climate. There were suggestions about managing relationships with employees and suppliers, negotiating effectively with banks, and a session about maintaining profitability and growth. We are fortunate in that so far the translation indutry has been largely unaffected, but many business are suffering, especially in the construction and financial services sectors. Our view is that it is important for Government, and the regional development agencies, to take a lead in supporting business, and this seminar was an excellent start in this respect. The sessions have proved very popular with hundreds of business owners attending.
