Translation Nottingham

October 10th, 2008 - Uncategorized

As a Nottingham Translation Agency betterlanguages.com works with local companies large and small within the Nottingham area, offering translation services, intermediary work for businesses and individuals, and interpreting services. We are proud of our association with the city of Nottingham, as well as serving major clients in other parts of the UK, and internationally. Mike Hunter, CEO of betterlanguages.com trained in Nottingham doing his first degree and MBA at Nottingham Trent University.

“Nottingham is a fantastic base for our translation agency”, he said. “We value our links with the city, and have a large local client base. Nottingham is a great city. In addition to our translation agency having been founded here, I personally support the local football team. I’ve been supporting Notts County since 1985. We’ve had our ups and downs over the years, but they are always entertaining to watch. I studied at Nottingham Trent University at both undergraduate and post-graduate level. Recently we have sponsored an award for Nottingham Trent students for outstanding achievement in a foreign language.”

betterlanguages.com is still mainly a UK translation agency, but is starting to win business in overseas markets, currently having regular customers in the US and China, and looking to win translation business in mainland Europe and the Far East.

“Translation is a global business these days” says Mike “but we still want to be the largest Nottingham Translation Agency, and are keen to work with local clients. We have recently launched a legal translation page, as we look to expand further our legal translation work in the region.”

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a PhD student from China in the University of Nottingham. I am wondering whether you need any part-time Chinese (mandarin)-English interpreter and translator. I have had a lot of experience in interpretation, translation and language teaching back in Shanghai, China. Currently a PhD student, I have a relatively flexible time framework to do some part-time interpretation, translation and mandarin tutoring. I am interested in providing interpretation and mandarin tutoring mainly in Nottingham area and translation regardless of the locality of clients. I have a car of my own. So it’s fairly easy for me to service the adjacent areas as well. Can you let me your email address so that I can send my personal CV for your further reference.

Thank you very much. I am looking forward to your reply.

    Best regards,

    Jiaying Cai

Hi Jiaying, thanks for your comment. The appropriate way to apply is by submitting a CV via our contact page. We don’t normally use students for either translation or interpreting, the only exception is when they have an existing recognised translation or interpreting qualification, and are undertaking further study. We are extremely selective, and look for the highest level of qualification, and relevant specialism. Thanks for your interest in betterlanguages.com. Regards Webmaster
