The team at Better Languages would like to wish all our clients, suppliers, and site readers a very merry Christmas.
Our Christmas opening arrangements are as follows. The office is open every day up until Christmas Day. We close early on Christmas Eve. We then reopen on 2nd January. The UK public holidays are 25th and 26th December, as well as 1st January.
Please remember when ordering translations that translators like to have holidays too. It is therefore likely that deadlines for larger jobs will be a bit longer than usual. Customs and traditions vary from country to country with the effect that translators in some countries will still be working. If you need an urgent translation then please ring or e-mail for availability.
We always get at least one silly phone call on 24th December. The person is looking to place a translation for 2nd January delivery. Usually the word count is so big that it would require a translator to work flat out every day until the deadline. This also doesn’t account for independent checking, and any formatting or other final file preparation. We are of course happy to help, but only on a more realistic deadline.
We hope you enjoy the holiday period, and have a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
