Despite the current economic gloom, Better Languages has made record translation sales in the 4th quarter of 2008-9. Our success mirrors that of our clients, many of whom are continuing to do well, especially in international markets.
Wider range of languages and specialisms
We are translating into a wider range of languages than ever before. The business is also diversifying. We are working with more distinct specialisms then ever before. We always match translators to jobs based on their specialist expertise, as well as language pair.
Mike Hunter CEO commented. “We are delighted with the way our business continues to grow. Our clients value our flexibility, range of languages and specialisms, as well as customer service. Better Languages offers good value in terms of both price and professionalism. We are winning key new accounts, and working hard with our existing customers.”
US and Eastern European markets
The company is seeing a marked rise in enquiries for Eastern European languages. We have have won significant new business in the US. We are also working with several larger UK companies who are new to export.
The new US business is particularly pleasing. The US is a very competitive market for translation. Our distance means that we need to work hard with the time zone difference. However our clients value our understanding and closeness to European markets.
