Eastern European languages are getting more importance since EU accession. We are therefore keen to strengthen our links with the region. We are part of a Romanian Trade Mission visiting Timisoara, from 26th to 30th October 2009. Our local Chamber of Commerce have organised the trip, in partnership with the Timisoara Chamber.

We will be attending a business awards event, as well as networking with other businesses, and attending organised business visits.

Timisoara is an important regional centre in Romania. It has a broad cross section of business sectors, as well as a prestigious university.

Romanian Translation projects

Better Languages director Beatriz Hunter will be on the Mission. She would like to talk to Romanian businesses about long term collaboration.

We translate into Romanian regularly. Recent projects have included marketing brochures as well as clothing labels from English to Romanian. We also recently translated a site soil survey for a construction company from Romanian to English.

Romanian Trade Mission

“I am really looking forward to the visit” says Bea. “There are some similarities between Romanian and Spanish. This is because both Romanian and Spanish are Latin based languages. I am looking forward to learning more about the country and its culture, as well as meeting Romanian businesses.”
