We have just heard that we are finalists in the Nottingham Post Business Awards 2010. We are in two categories, Small Business of the Year, and best use of IT and Communications. Being shortlisted is a real honour.
We are of course delighted to be finalists. We are pleased to receive recognition for all the team’s hard work and dedication. It is pleasing that we have been able to grow through the recession. We have also worked hard at IT and communications. The team has strengthened our infrastructure, with the support of our IT providers. We are also developing our website. We have just launched a mobile site. Our main domain has a fresh new look, and we have also added a Romanian version for the first time.
Nottingham Post Business Awards – Small Business of the Year
We are selected in this category because the business has seen phenomenal growth over the last 12 months. The company has won new key accounts including M&S. We are also translating into more languages than ever before. We had our largest number of languages on a single order to date. 40 languages.
Nottingham Post Business Awards – Achievements with IT and communications.
This category reflects the strides we are making in IT. We have continued to grow our network of translators and other suppliers. Our IT infrastructure has the complexity of a much larger business. Robustness of the system is really important. For example we have two separate broadband providers, BT and Virgin. This allows us to receive email even if one of the services has a major failure. All data is securely backed up, both on and off site.
You can talk to us about any aspect of translation, by phone on 0115 9788980, or using our contact form. You can find out more about the business by exploring the rest of the site. Be sure to read the about us section, as well as the business case studies.
