Happy Easter from Better Languages! Easter is an important celebration for Christians. We close the office for the public holiday days. Below is some information about Easter traditions, with a link to wikipedia where you can find out more. We also list the days we are closed.
Easter customs and traditions
Good Friday and Easter Sunday are the focal point of the Christian year, and are even more important than Christmas. Different countries have different Easter traditions. In the UK it is customary to give chocolate eggs as presents on Easter Sunday. The egg is a symbol of new life, and refers to the resurrection. The orthodox church has a different calendar to churches in the UK. Therefore, some of our translators are on holiday on different dates than the UK celebration.
Easter opening hours
Good Friday and Monday 1st April are public holidays in the UK, so the office will be closed, re-opening on Tuesday 2nd April.
Happy Easter from Better Languages
We would like to wish all our customers, suppliers and site visitors a very Happy Easter. Unfortunately, we can’t do much about the English weather which has been very cold and wintery. We actually still have some snow on the ground in a corner of the office car-park.
