Professional Swedish Translation

Approximately 10 million people speak Swedish. It is mainly used in Sweden and parts of Finland, where it has equal legal standing with Finnish. It is largely mutually intelligible with Norwegian and Danish. Swedish is a rich language with six main dialects: North, Finland, Svealand, Gotland, Götaland and South Swedish. We carefully select our Swedish translators for your specific translation requirement. We consider not only on their language skills, but also their experience of your topic or niche. This ensures that we use correct terminology confidently and accurately.

Passionate About Language and Culture

We’re not only experts in Swedish translation, we’re passionate about language and culture. We take an interest in Swedish cultural diversity and variations, and are up to date on the growing Swedish influence around the world – from Ikea to H&M, and Volvo to Absolut! The Swedish influence and their ever-growing economy make for exciting expansion opportunities. Maybe your company already does business in Sweden or is looking to expand. If so, you’ll want to work with a translation company that understands the importance of attention to detail. You will also want to be sure that your translations are precise and accurate. Better Languages is that company.

Proofing Your Swedish Translation

As part of our service we can provide complementary PDF versions of all translations supplied in a Word format. This allows you to visually check the correct display of special characters. This is useful to ensure everything looks as it should if you use the translation in a printed artwork format.

Checking Swedish artwork

Better Languages also offer a finished artwork sign-off service. Here our specialist team can check and sign-off translations on artwork before you send it to print. There is an additional charge for this service, due to the additional work it takes. We really believe there is no substitute for us checking the final version of the artwork. Most artworkers will tell you that it is really easy to introduce error when manipulating text. This is true of English, before you add the complexity of an additional language like Swedish.

It is easy for you to introduce cut and paste errors, or omit text when you apply it in a format such as Illustrator or InDesign. You should thoroughly check all text before print. Our checking service involves a translator reading the translation on the artwork, and comparing to our original translation. We then provide a proofing report, and detail any amendments needed.
